FAQ

Q What types of sleep problems are the Sleep Infuser suitable for?

Sleep infuser is effective for most common types of sleep problems such as poor or unsettled sleep, difficulty falling asleep, interrupted sleep, premature awakening and vivid nightmares.

This product is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. If you have a health condition or concern, consult a physician or other health care provider. Consider consulting a health care provider before making a significant change to your sleeping practices.

Q How can Sleep Infuser help?

The Sleep Infuser technology is a combination of sound therapies that entrain the body to its natural sleeping pattern. Its four unique programs calm the body, induce and promote better quality sleep.

Q How do I use Sleep Infuser?

The Sleep Infuser is a bedside audio product with a set of speakers. To be effective, the sleep programs must be heard in stereo - make sure to position the speakers so that one can be heard in your right ear and one in your left. (It doesn't matter which ear can hear which speaker). Experiment with speaker positions and distances. Some people will achieve better results if the speakers are close to their ears, others if they are further away. It is important that you find the arrangement that works best for you.

Q Should I use Sleep Infuser only when I experience sleeping difficulties? Must I use it everyday?

Healthy sleep has a natural pattern. Unhealthy sleep is the result of this healthy pattern being broken. The Sleep Infuser has been designed carefully and specifically to help you through every stage of natural sleep. We recommend that our program be used on a daily basis for a period of at least 30 days so that the brain can be entrained with its natural sleeping pattern.

Q Can I use Sleep Infuser to put my crying baby to sleep?

No, this version of the Sleep Infuser is not meant for babies or toddlers.

Q Will Sleep Infuser cause me to oversleep?

If you need to wake at a particular time, we recommend that you use the EASY SLEEP program, which automatically adjusts the DEEP SLEEP program and delivers the optimum sleep patterns in the time available between the start of the program and your chosen alarm time. Sleep Infuser should not cause you to oversleep or have any difficulties waking up with any of the settings. The user can be woken up by the wake-up cycle (which slowly brings the user out of sleep), the buzzer, or radio.

Q Can Sleep Infuser be used long term? Will I get dependent on it? Are there any side effects?

The Sleep Infuser's technology is non-invasive and can be used long term without any side effects. It is not addictive and you will not develop any dependency on it.

However, if you suffer from a seizure disorder, or a serious mental illness such as schizophrenia or a psychotic disorder, or have suffered a brain injury or head trauma, we advise you to NOT use our sound therapy programs. These programs are designed to promote sleep and should only be used when it is safe to fall asleep. Don't drive, operate machinery or do anything that requires your attention while using the Sleep Infuser program. However, any sound therapy program may initially feel unusual. If you feel uncomfortable after repeatedly using the program, we recommend that you discontinue use.

Q I have a medical condition. Can I use the Sleep Infuser safely?

We always recommend that people with any kind of medical condition consult their physician before using our Sleep Infuser.

Q How does Sleep Infuser work and does it contain anything 'secret'?

The Sleep Infuser uses a complex algorithm of sounds and pulses - in specific patterns - to naturally 'entice' the brain into adopting the right frequencies for sleep.

The nature sounds act as a mask working over the top of the algorithms, thus disguising them. This enables the brain to relax (as there is no 'information' in the nature sounds for the brain to engage with) and allows the algorithms to do their work. The body instinctively knows its own best sleep pattern and will naturally return to it once helped to overcome the less desirable behavior. The 'secret' is in the sequencing of the sounds and pulses contained in the algorithms.

Research into the use of affirmative messages has evaluated using certain voices at a particular frequency and volume to deliver positive-reassuring messages rather than 'conventional' subliminal type programs. The Sleep Infuser uses affirmative messages based on this research to complement the other parts of the program that help the listener reach a deeply relaxed state prior to sleep. As part of the wake-up cycle, the Sleep Infuser uses a different set of affirmative messages to encourage the listener into a positive and energized state in which to start the day.

All of our programs allow you to choose whether or not to use the Affirmative Sentences technology. Omitting the affirmations will not adversely affect the sleep program. However, the affirmations will help to increase your state of relaxation, which in turn will help you respond to the therapy and achieve restful sleep.

Q Does the Sleep Infuser turn off after a certain amount of time?

The Sleep Infuser offers 4 programs: The DEEP SLEEP, FALL ASLEEP and NAP are designed to run continuously until the end of the programmed period or until you turn it off. The EASY SLEEP program delivers the optimum sleep pattern in the time available between the start of the program and your chosen alarm time. It runs continuously unless you decide to turn it off.
